VMP Vlasova, Mikhel & Partners law office traditionally supported the Belarusian Student Law Competition

VMP Vlasova, Mikhel & Partners traditionally  supported the Belarusian Student Law Competition, which took place on February 28 -  March 2, 2019 at the Law Faculty of the Belarusian State University.

Law faculties' students from different belarusian universities take part in individual and team competitions within the contest. The main goals of the Law Olympiad are to increase the motivation of students of the Republic of Belarus to study law; promote the increase of their competence in various branches of law; to identify capable and talented students who are ready to study the law at a high level; promote the spread of legal culture among students.

This year 11 teams and 51 individual participants representing 15 universities, including the Belarusian State University, the Belarusian State Economic University, the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the regional universities, participated in the internal selection round. 6 teams and 16 individual participants are selected for the final.

In the final round, participants had to present, on the basis of an analysis of the incident, a position in a criminal (for teams) and civil (for individuals) case.

The Belarusian Student Law Competition is supported by the Ministry of Justice, the General Prosecutor's Office, the National Center for Legislation and Legal Studies, the Ministry of Education, government agencies, law offices, commercial organizations.

VMP Vlasova, Mikhel and Partners managing partner Konstantin Mikhel was one of the members of the jury of the Belarusian Student Law Competition.
