The Code of the Republic of Belarus on Architectural, Urban-Planning and Construction Activities has been published

The Code of the Republic of Belarus on Architectural, Urban-Planning and Construction Activities as of 17 July 2023 N 289-Z will come into force on 23 July 2024.

The Code unites and systematizes legal acts currently in force in construction and covers most of construction areas, including attestation, construction financing, urban planning activities, provision of engineering services, suspension and conservation of construction, and so on.

Among the innovations, it should be noted that the regional and Minsk City Executive Committees will be able to make decisions on the construction of objects within the relevant territory with deviations from the city planning documentation, of course, subject to compliance with the legislation restrictions and limitations.

The Code also provides for the creation and maintenance of an urban planning cadastre in electronic form.
