The Ministry of Health imposed restrictions on foreign pharmaceutical companies in Belarus
The Ministry of Health reported that from now foreign pharmaceutical companies and their representative offices will be able to participate only in those conferences that are held under the auspices of the Ministry of Health. All other educational activities are prohibited.
This decision was made in response to a statement by the Prosecutor General's Office about the disclosure of the scheme to bribe doctors by foreign pharmaceutical companies. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, foreign pharmaceutical companies, through their representative offices, enter into contracts with Belarusian doctors to give lectures for a monetary reward, which is interpreted as a recommendation to patients to use certain drugs.
According to the Ministry of Health, documents to regulate new rules for promoting medical products are currently being developed .
