Living in retirement is good! Living on pension is not always good
The House of Representatives has approved the draft law "On Amendments to the Laws on State Social Insurance and Pension Provision", which includes the following key provisions:
- Reduced burden on entrepreneurs: They will pay 35% of their actual income (this is important for those whose annual income is less than 12 minimum wages). If the income exceeds 12 minimum wages, contributions will be calculated as 35% of 12 minimum wages; contributions on income above this amount are voluntary (as is currently the case). The payment deadline has been extended from March 1 to March 31.
- For salaries paid "in envelopes": Contributions to the Social Protection Fund (FSZN) will be required from all amounts paid, without the current cap of five times the national average salary. However, the minimum contribution must be at least 1/30 of five times the average national salary for each day a salary is paid "in envelopes." For an employee receiving an undeclared salary, the pension will be calculated based on the minimum wage in the country.
